Administrative Support

Description:

  • Handles deposits, disbursements, contracts, new hires, payroll, financial tracking
  • Manage LCEA office: rent, phone, printing, office supplies, website upgrades
  • Maintain LCEA inventories: publications, tshirts, lit table supplies, sales records
  • Review financial statements and budget
  • Manage organizational requests: information, sponsorships, presentations, tabling opportunities, webinar announcements, important events, legislative alerts, and monitor email communications
  • Manage google doc directory, google groups, email accounts
  • Develop processes

There are a number of volunteer positions available for our administrative support team:

  • SEE project director support
    • Supervised by Administrative Lead
    • Time commitment: est. 1 day/week
    • Prepare deposits, disbursement requests, credit card reports, etc.
    • Review SEE financial statements for accuracy and revise accordingly
  • Office manager
    • Supervised by Administrative Lead
    • Time commitment: est. ½ day/week, working in office
    • Resolve issues that arise, such as printer, phone, compost, filing, etc.
  • Maintain LCEA inventories
    • Supervised by Administrative Lead
    • Time commitment: est. ½ day/week, working in office
    • Stock inventories of publications, T-shirts, office supplies, and so forth
    • Create and maintain systems for keeping sales records
  • Organizational requests and alerts
    • Supervised by Administrative Lead
    • Time commitment: est. ½ day/week or less
    • Receive organizational requests of all types: sponsorships, endorsements, information requests, speaking appearances. Check our email and voicemails
    • Route requests to appropriate staff or respond directly

Qualifications:

  • A passion for the clean power, healthy communities perspective of the LCEA
  • General knowledge/background regarding renewable energy and renewable energy policy
  • Good research and analysis skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Responsible, very organized, and detail-oriented
